Third-party licenses
CsvDrill uses the open-source components below. Their licenses require that the license texts are made available to you and, for LGPL components, that you can replace the libraries with your own versions. The full license texts ship with the installer (THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.md).
| Component | License | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Python 3.14 | PSF License | python.org |
| OpenSSL 3.5.7 (comes with Python's ssl module; used only for the HTTPS connection of Pro activation) | Apache-2.0 | openssl.org |
| Qt for Python 6.11.2 (PySide6, PySide6_Essentials) | LGPL-3.0 | qt.io/qt-for-python |
| shiboken6 6.11.2 | LGPL-3.0 | qt.io/qt-for-python |
| DuckDB 1.5.6 (bundled components, e.g. ICU, fmt, re2, utf8proc, zstd: their license texts ship with the installer) | MIT | duckdb.org |
| Nuitka 4.2.2 (runtime parts in the compiled program) | AGPL-3.0 with the Nuitka Runtime Library Exception 1.0 (the compiled program may be distributed under any terms) | nuitka.net |
| Fluent UI System Icons (subset), main, 2026-09-27 | MIT | github.com/microsoft/fluentui-system-icons |
Your right to replace the libraries
The LGPL components (Qt, shiboken6) stay as separate DLL files in the program folder; you can replace them with compatible versions you build yourself. For questions, get in touch.
